Where Is Paint the Town?
Our base of operations is the River North part of downtown Chicago. It is known for being a hub of nightlife with dozens of restaurants and live entertainment venues. River North is also adjacent to the Magnificent Mile shopping district and just across the river from the theater district, located in the world famous Chicago Loop. The North Halsted area (formally known as Boystown and just 20 minutes by train or Uber) is one of the largest LGBT communities in the country.
Suggested Hotels
To foster a communal experience, we are recommending two hotels in the River North area.
The Moxy and the Best Western are essentially across the street from each other. See map

The Moxy is operated by Marriott. It is a first class hotel with a vibrant first floor that feels more like a swanky bar than a sterile hotel lobby. They also host a drag brunch every second Saturday.
The Best Western River North is a more modest hotel that offers parking at $25 per day (unlimited in and out) and includes a no nonsense bar / restaurant that is perfect for meeting up before hitting the town.
We have negotiated a group rate of $89 per night ($104 with tax) at both hotels.

Driving Directions: Exit 90/94 at Ohio heading east. Best Western is at Ohio and LaSalle.
Moxy is one block south at LaSalle and Grand
CTA Directions: Transfer to redline train. Get off the train at Grand (subway below State and Grand).
