A Celebration of Mainstream
Gender Diversity
What is Paint the Town?
Paint the Town is a gathering of gender diverse individuals. As an organization we have three objectives. The first is to create an event in support of those interested in being open and visible within mainstream society - this is the in-person objective. The second objective is to create an online space where new members are welcomed to the group, before the event, and friendships can be maintained long afterwards. Our third objective is to be supportive of the wider transgender community - see below for details.
Why Chicago in February?
The answer is simple - cheap hotels.
Downtown Chicago is known for pricey hotels, but not in the winter. February might be too cold for the beach, but the great restaurants and live entertainment venues are all open and plenty warm.

You’ll just need to remember to pack that very fashionable winter coat.
Supporting the
Wider Community
We believe that support of the wider transgender community is critical to our mission.
Thus, in lieu of a registration fee, a donation to a transgender focused community organization is strongly encouraged.
For 2022, our spotlight organization is Brave Space Alliance.
The suggested donation amount is $75, but you are free to give whatever amount works for you.
