February 23-26, 2023

A Celebration of Mainstream
Gender Diversity

What is Paint the Town?
IMG_1580.jpg

Paint the Town is a gathering of gender diverse individuals. Our objective is to create a supportive space for those interested in being open and visible within mainstream society. In support of this objective we have created an online space to welcome new members, before the event, and maintain friendships long after.

Who We Are
Where is Paint the Town?

Primarily, we will be in the River North area of downtown Chicago. River North is known for being a hub of nightlife with dozens of restaurants and live entertainment. It's also steps from Mag Mile shopping and just across the river from the theater district in the world famous Chicago Loop.

The North Halsted area (formally known as Boystown) is just 20 minutes by train or Uber and is one of the largest LGBT+ communities in the country.

Where
Why February?
Why Chicago in February?

The answer is simple - cheap hotels.

Downtown Chicago is known for pricey hotels, but not in the winter. February might be too cold for the beach, but the great restaurants and entertainment venues are all open and plenty warm.

You’ll just need to remember to pack that very fashionable winter coat.

Our Hotel

This year we have selected the ACME Hotel as our base of operations. Centrally located between River North and Michigan Avenue (and steps from the Redline train at Grand), this boutique hotel has a cozy atmosphere with a trendy vibe. The hotel bar (the Berkshire Room) is sophisticated, yet inviting, and has a private room option that's perfect for hosting Happy Hour before dinner.

We've made special arrangements with the hotel for discount room rates - please see our Hotel page for details.
